A major update has just been added to the TNM Interactive Map of Mithraic Monuments. The map can now display not only mithraea, but also Mithraic monuments from the TNM database with known provenance.
You can:
• display only mithraea,
• only monuments,
• both together,
• or filter monuments by iconographic themes and labels.
A new “Current location” mode (desktop version) also allows users to switch between the original provenance of a monument and the museum or institution where it is currently kept today.
An exciting new way to explore the geography of Mithraic material across both the ancient and modern world.
