To the Invincible god Mithras Lucius Antonius Proculus, prefect of the First Cohort of Batavians Antoniniana, willingly and deservedly fulfilled his vow.

Antoniniana: in Britain to be dated a.d. 213-22 (Birley).

Addenda from RIB+add. (1995):

An altar (JRS li (1961), 193 No. 9) dedicated by another prefect to the Nymphs and Genius loci was found in a shrine near the Mithraeum in 1957. All four prefects are now discussed by Birley Mavors iv, 178-84.
