Note from Franz Cumont on Sidon discoveries
The following note deserved an entry in Vermaseren’s Corpus Inscriptionum et Monumentorum Religionis Mithriacae.

In the personal notes of Fr. Cumont, which he shortly before his death gave for our perusal, we find that the monuments of Sidon have been found: "dans une salle sans fenêtres entièrement murée (pour échapper à la déstruction)".
