A marble statue from Augusta Emerita (modern Mérida), depicting a standing dressed male person whose right leg leans against a tree-trunk and whose raised right arm once held a lance or trident, tentatively identified as Poseidon.

Marble statue from Augusta Emerita (modern Mérida).
Standing dressed male person, whose right leg leans against a tree-trunk; the left leg rests on a marble base and stands somewhat before the other. The right arm is upraised; in his left are traces of a lance or trident (Poseidon?). Head and left leg as far as the thigh are broken off.
