Bronze Medusa-head slab from Angleur

A small round bronze slab bearing a Medusa head, with serpents knotted below her chin and serpent heads emerging between two wings attached to the temples, with two hooks on the reverse, from the Mithraic sanctuary at Angleur near Liège in Belgica.

Small round bronze slab (H. 0.20, Br. 0.19) with a Medusa head, the serpents knotted below her chin; serpent heads visible between two wings attached to the temples. Two hooks on the reverse. From the Mithraic sanctuary at Angleur (near Liège), Belgica.
