A naked torso of a robust figure, preserved as far as the navel with head and arms lost, from the Mithraeum at Pons Saravi (modern Saarburg) in Belgica, possibly representing the rock-birth of Mithras.

Naked torso (H. 0.145, Br. 0.16, D. 0.08) of a robust figure, preserved only as far as the navel. Head and arms are lost. Possibly a representation of Mithras' rock-birth. From the Mithraeum at Pons Saravi (modern Saarburg), Belgica.
