Tabula marmorea.

Val(erius) Marinus pater signu[m] / invicti Mitrhe (sic) ex voto pos/uit.

This inscription has recently been associated with the Mithras tauroctonos relief from the Loggia Scoperta. Both are preserved in the Musei Vaticani.

Val[erius] Marinus pater signu[m] / invicti Mitrhe [sic] ex voto pos/uit.
Valerius Marinus, pater, set up the image of the unconquered Mithras in fulfilment of a vow.
