Limestone stele of a torchbearer from Apt

Small limestone stele, discovered at Apt in 1903. It depicts a standing torchbearer in the conventional Mithraic posture and dress, accompanied by a cock placed at his feet.

Stele (H. 0.32 Br. 0.19 D. 0.15), found at Apt, together with the following No. in 1903. Kept in the Townhall.

Standing torchbearer in the usual attitude and attire. Beside him a cock on the ground.
