Sol altar from Mithraeum I, Stockstadt

Altar in yellow sandstone (H. 0.78 Br. 0.34 D. 0.195).Drexel, 92 No. 50 and Pl. XV, 12. See fig. 315.At the bottom is a square hole, which is pierced through the whole altar. Above it a bust of Sol in radiate crown; he holds in his r.h. a whip.In the upper rim a vase between two rosettes.On the l. side a patera with handle; on the r. side a cypress.
