The New Mithraeum

According to WsdZ 1903, 443 (Muscografic) and BJ 113, 1905, 63 a bronze statuette of Cautes (H. 0.15) was found in the Rhine near Bingerbrück (Bonn, Rheinisches Landesmuseum Inv. No. 18127). Mr. M. Friedenthal, who kindly sent me a photograph (see fig. 267) of this monument, writes: "Sie ist als Applike gearbeitet und ist an der Rückseite mit zwei Eisennieten und einem Nietloch versehen."
