Hollow altar before the great relief from Königshoffen

Large sandstone altar from the Mithraeum at Königshoffen, hollowed out at the back with a circular opening in the top, which stood before the great tauroctony relief; the front bears a dedication to Deo invicto Mithrae.

Fragments of an altar in sandstone (H. 0.50 Br. 0.60 D. 0.25). It stood before the large relief near 7.

The altar is hollowed out in the back and it has an opening (diam. 0.41) in the top. The front has an inscription:
