Relief in limestone (H. 0.06 Br. 0.105). See fig. 358.Staehelin, Schweiz, 561 n. 5.Mithras as a bullkiller with dog and scorpion. The bull's tail is curled. On either side a standing cross-legged torchbearer in Oriental dress. The head of Cautopates (l), which rests on his l.h. is damaged; Cautes (r) holds the torch (for the greater part lost) upwards in his outstretched r.h. and he holds a pedum against his l. shoulder. The head and the shoulders of Mithras are lost.Underneath the bull a vase with a serpent which is drinking from it; next to it a lying lion. In the separate bottom-corners…
