Possible tauroctony fragments from Artashat

Two marble fragments from a small statuette were discovered during excavations at Artashat in 1971, on the same hill and near a female marble statue found there. One fragment preserves part of the pedestal with the foot of a small female or child figure. The heel is raised, suggesting that the figure was represented in movement. The fragments are illustrated by Arakelyan as pl. XXIII.2.Arakelyan does not identify these Artashat fragments as Mithraic.
