The Dream of Scipio, the Orphic Gold Plates, and the Mithra Liturgy are compared revealing a common cosmovision predicated on the micrcosm. The ancient universe was apparently geocentric, but the ancient microcosm was heliocentric, in that the soul could join the sun and ascend through the stars. This presentatin discusses the cultic background of this cosmovision and suggests possible celestial interpretations of the data.
