Statue in stone (H. 0.95). Found probably at Rome. According to an information of Paul Hartwig to Franz Cumont, it should have been at an antiquary's Marti- netti in Rome in 1901. Vermaseren in AntC XX, 1951, 345f and PI. I, 2. Naked Mithras emerges from the rock. He puts the index of his I.h. to his lips. The r. arm is broken off. "Ce n'est qu'une ebauche, la sculpture n'a jamais He achevee" (Cumont).
