Two terracotta lamps with Mithraic imagery from the Passeri collection, Pesaro
Two terracotta lamps formerly in the Coll. Passeri and now probably in the Museo Olivieri at Pesaro: the first showing Mithras as a bullkiller, the second in the shape of a bull's head inscribed Μέθρα ἱερός on the horns, both regarded as probably forged.

Two exceptional terracotta lamps, formerly in the Coll. Passeri, now probably in the Museo Olivieri at Pesaro.1) On the front of the lamp Mithras is represented as a bullkiller; on the reverse the trade-mark Probi between two ears.2) The second lamp has the shape of a bull's head, decorated with a medallion connecting two crossed bands. On the horns: Μέθρα ἱερός.Both lamps are regarded as probably forged by Dressel.
