Monuments with krater

The TNMdB include 6 monuments depicting krater.

  1. MONUMENTUM

    The inscription has been related to the Mithraeum of Aldobrandini, in Ostia.

  2. MONUMENTUM

    The Mithraeum Felicissimus has a floor mosaic depicting the seven mithraic grades.

  3. MONUMENTUM

    This relief is so well-known that it has been reproduced in nearly every handbook of archaeology and of history of religions.

  4. MONUMENTUM

    Possibly a Mithraic scene discovered in Mödling, Austria.

  5. MONUMENTUM

    The folio depicts three tauroctonies and a Mithras Triumphantes standing on a bull with the globe in one hand and the dagger in the other.

  6. MONUMENTUM

    According to Pettazzoni Aion in general finds its iconographical origin in Egypt. Mithras must have been worshipped in Egypt in the third century B.C.
