Mithras in Bruttium

Bruttium occupied the southernmost reaches of the Italian Peninsula where maritime mobility linked Italy, Sicilia and the wider Mediterranean.

Evidence from Bruttium illustrates the circulation of Mithraic cults through coastal settlements, regional trade and communication routes extending across southern Italy. The province formed part of the interconnected maritime world of the central Mediterranean.
