This region groups together archaeological sites and monuments located outside the borders of the Roman Empire but relevant to the study of the Roman cult of Mithras or its historical, religious and cultural context. It includes territories under Parthian, Sasanian and other non-Roman polities that interacted directly or indirectly with the Roman world.
