Archaeological study of the ancient necropolises of Artashat (Artaxata), based on excavations carried out between 1971 and 1977. The volume presents the burial complexes and associated finds from the ancient Armenian capital, including sculptural and religious material. Among the finds is a fragmentary relief, illustrated on pl. XXIII, fig. 1, which has subsequently been identified as the remains of a tauroctony scene.
