The Seventh Sinner
When Jean Suttman was offered the chance to study in Rome, she thought she was in heaven. But the body that’s lying in the ancient subterranean Temple of Mithra – the murdered corpse of a fellow student who was disliked and unpopular – isn’t what she had in mind when she thought of heaven. Now she’s genuinely scared, not just because strange things are happening around her with worrying frequency. It’s the growing feeling that someone, for some unknown reason, is out to get her. Jean’s innocent trip into a sacred pagan place has trapped her in something dark and terrifying. Even the knowledge that practical, perceptive fellow American Jacqueline Kirby is on the case doesn’t ease her fears. Because there’s only so far Jean Suttman can run and no escape for her except death.
