Near the second step of the altar of the Mitreo di Santo Stefano Rotondo was found another statue of Mithras rock-born, also of luna marble (n.inv. 205828), 57 cm high. Here Mithras is a child. The drill has been used extensively, indicating a date of the second half of the third century A.D. The torch and the knife are connected to the head by thick links. There is a little trace of red colour on the flame of the torch. The general standard of the work is poor.
