The New Mithraeum
Aorta was a bilingual German-English series of self-published booklets edited in Vienna by Gerhard Petak under the name Kadmon between 1990 and 1995. Combining esotericism, paganism, ritual, art and cultural criticism, individual issues explored figures and subjects ranging from the Munich Cosmic Circle and Rudolf Schwarzkogler to occultism and pre-Christian religious traditions. The series was succeeded by Ahnstern in 1995.
