Engraved on column 3 in minute letters. Report, No. 863.εἴσοδος / ἔξοδος.A minute graffito on column 3 of the Mithraeum of Dura-Europos bearing the words eisodos (“entrance”) and exodos (“exit”). While traditionally understood as a literal indication of entry and departure, its location within the sanctuary has led to the suggestion that the terms may refer symbolically to the descent and return of the soul within the Mithraic cosmos (Dirven 2025, 223–224).
