- Attested at Roma, Latium, Italia in 1st half of 2nd century (TNMM 682).

Little is known about Doryphorus other than the beautiful candalabrum found in Rome in 1803, in the Syrian Temple of Janicule. Vermasseren
If the inscription doesn’t tell us, Vermasseren does: "It is quite possible, that Doryphorus in the Syrian sanctuary dedicated this monument to Mithras. His name is also known from Ostia."
