In a house from the time of Constantine, a Lararium was found with a statue of Isis-Fortuna. The Mithraeum was a door next to it, on a lower room.
The underground cave which served as temple was cut into the conglomerate rock of the area, and a flight of eight steps of stone slabs led to it.
The few remains of the Mithraeum of Gimmeldingen are preserved at the Historical Museum of the Palatinate, in Speyer, Germany.
